Little project with the Porsche this week.

I have been thinking about purchasing a full exhaust of doing a muffler bypass with high flow cats… the more I think about it, the more I thought about why not just cut the stock exhaust to see just how it would sound.

Kind of wondering if anyone has done this before... did a quick search and foudn nothing. Either way, I have a local guy that will weld the ends up for this week and they will be ready to go back on the car. Each side is pretty light now, light enough that I have already bolted them back up and they will need no hangers.

Very simple to do really and I’m sure the charge for the welding will be inexpensive and it will give off a nice little sound.

Since I had the rear bumper cover off, I went over the rear of the car and cleaned the rear fender wells again. Of course this week, I have spent a total of about 16 hours detailing the car both inside and out, including going though the car’s crevices using about 50 Q-tips.

Based on the water leak my house developed last week with all the melt from the roof, it very well could be.

I had this mod done on my car when I bought it... Previous owner used to do these and sell them thru rennlist... The exhaust was louder than the Fabspeed Gen2 LOUD system I replaced it with. The car would give you a headache in 30 minutes of driving...

Good luck with that one!!

I should have my Xcellerator system from speedtech on in the next week or so. I'll report back!!
Mike

Thanks Mike... I have driven cars on the street that were much louder than this setup would ever be. I think I will be ok and the way I had them welded will make a difference and it will not be that loud.

Cheers,
Allen
