Car shipping

Looking for a car shipping company or even just a flat bed to pick up a car in NJ and bring it to VA. Bought a VW car for the wife and just don't have time to take the train up and drive it back.

I recommend using Intercity Van Lines. I shipped my PCar using them from VA to TX and it was top notch white glove service.

There's also whitehorse consierge dot com. A local guy that runs his own deal. Covered trailer dealio. Very reasonable rates and eager to please.

Scott - does that guy own a 355 Spider. I think I've seen him at some car events. Seems really cool if that's him.

White Horse...

I second (or third!) Matt from White Horse. He and I picked up my then new GT3 in October 2010 in Philly and brought it home to Virginia. He virtually spent the entire day with me (new car paperwork, PDI, etc). Superior care for me and the car and very reasonable rates.

I used Express Auto Transport in the past and they were OK. Be aware that almost all shipping companies contract drivers to move cars across the country. Hit or miss most of the time. I asked EAT if they did this and lied through their teeth. When I spoke to the driver, he confirmed everything.

If I had to do it all over again, I probably would, but only if I couldn't make the drive myself.

I don't get why someone would transport a car just a couple of states away (ok if they absolutely cannot find the time but heck you should want to it's a great diagnoisis)...a trip like that is great to find out the condtion of the car ...heck I drove my SL55 AMG from LA to MD clear accross county and it was one of the bet drives I've had with so much to see in between lol

I have heard Intercity, RELAIBLE, and some other carriers out there...I looked on White Horse's website they look good also...but seem to do more local and service transport type work...

I've used both Demoise from CA to MD and Intercity from FL to MD, I preferred Demoise not only because the rate was great but also timing.

Just used Intercity to ship my turbo from CA here. They are a 6speed vendor and offer member discounts. Very happy with their service here.

I use a couple of tow companies from NJ regularly as I'm a regular purchaser at Manheim NJ & New York.

Here's who I use to bring my cars back to the DMV:
