Red face Check those damn tires

I went to the wednesday meet and just as I was leaving 3 dudes came up and let me know my right rear tire was almost to the rim. I thanked them and used the tire pump in the trunk to get fill it back up, it was down to 20psi.

Then I remembered something about the drive down there. I was aggressively accelerating while merging onto 66 and my car made this very odd fishtail like movement. Nothing drastic or violent, just a strange suttle movement that didn't really make any sense. I knew it didn't lose traction because this 4100lb beast only breaks traction in first, not 3rd-4th.

So I'd say that was a close call, and thank god they let me know before I took off on 66 again.

It's a very slow leak, so hopefully some tire sealant will fix it? Couldn't find a puncture anywhere on the tire.

Probably your valve stem, they leak more often than you think. Don't spray goop in there, take it to a tire shop and find out whats really wrong with it.

If you put "fix-a-flat" or like sealers in your tire, they will not be able to patch it in the traditional way after. They can plug it, but that is not the best way to make a repair. It may also effect the tires balance.
(edit) I cant imagine fix-a-flat is good for the TPMS either....

Get it to a tire shop, and have it repaired.

BMW tpms works.

Maserati and "good electronics" do not fit in the same sentence The tpms on the Maserati has never worked.

Thanks for the tips everyone, will drop the wheel off somewhere.

I had one go while at speed on a cloverleaf on my 928. I'm amazed I saved it, car snapped sideways so fast I thought I was doomed.
