Darkfiber is infamous around these parts
Hey, I didn't even know this post was here! Let me set things straight. I'm the organizer, my name's John, I drive the Mineral White M3 with the euro plate still on the front. I used to drive the Blue Z4 M Coupe but sadly, that's been sold.

True, the runs are generally Euro only but that's a lose rule and is only there because I worry about things like last model Mustangs trying to take corners at the same speeds as M3s and then flying off a cliff to their death. I try to keep these Runs as safe as possible. It also helped to keep the normal Runs at less than 40 cars, anything above that and we start creating our own traffic jams.

All that said, Yes - Your NSX and GTRs are welcome! There's already going to be a Z06 on the run so why not bring the Viper... just don't die, those things are like driving an axe murderer.

The Run is this weekend! Here's the official post with all the details including the route, stopping locations, and hotel locations:

ALSO! I wasn't planning on making this a charity run but if you want to donate, please let me know! One other person has already contacted me about making donations, I suggest the Wounded Warrior Project as we've had a number of wounded warriors go on these runs, all of them are fantastic guys.

The company I work for, Symantec, will match all donations made so if you donate $50, a total of $100 is given. You can paypal me or give me money at the event and I'll give you proof of donation after it's been made so you can write it off on your taxes.

Hi Darkfiber,

I couldn't make it for other plans but much thanks for the clarity. I'll keep in mind for future runs. I know that route very well (did the entire thing on a Hayabusa once) and it's a good time. Hope it turned out great!

^^ your car is fine. No modern car Mustang or what have you is going to fly off the road if driven right, cars thesse days are very capable...they don't wreck it's the drivers that do the wrecking...

I love M3's in fact I race one and have been for many years...your note with late model mustangs is a funny one though ...have you seen the results in the GS Class Grand Am Series...the Mustangs are dominating over things like M3 and Porsche... I've owned, driven and raced each of the these marques.

Any late model car is driven well will be more than fine, on any street or mountain road. Even on a track when well driven lap time differences between and late model mustang and late model M3 are negligible.

haha thanks for the support sunir. i was jokingly referring to my car, which has no problem hanging with e46 m3s. this looks like a great event and i get the point of keeping it high-end though
