You could definitely buy a 996 cup for the cost of the M project which I looked into as well, but the cost of the car is just the entry fee. Engine rebuilds, axle replacements, slicks, etc. The M3 definitely wont be cheap, but much more "practical" then a cup. I'll still be able to put it on the street if need be. Sid, there is a beautiful, well sorted, Estroil E36 M on Ebay I also strongly considered.

^^^ Bob summit Point raceway in WVA...it's about 1.5 hrs from baltimore. It's a road course not a drag strip. You will need to go over 65 mph on a road course otherwise you will be hazardous to other drivers and they will black flag you becasue they will think something is wrong with your car. Please register if you are serious. It will be a fun event.
