Join pca? Track events?

Debating joining the pca Potomac... I've been doing track daze and fatt and some scca events... But thinking I may do this too..

https://www.pca.org/Membership/JoinP...ationForm.aspx

Do I join there? And then do I sign up somewhere? I'm assuming they will let me drive top down in my spyder on summit with a 6pt harness and arm straps

I see they have something setup for vir though the end of August ... Then maybe sone I'd do in late oct

sorry-- you would join on the national site as a potomac member. then once you have a member id, registration for track events is at www.pcapotomac.org you can also run with other pca regions that com to summit point--schattenbaum and reisentoter.

potomac runs a tight ship and they're are alot of high hp cars at their events. they are also considered by many one of the fastest regions. some complain about the amt of track time they give-- but i've always found it sufficient.

potomac also usually requires new DE'ers to first do a high performance drivers clinic but with the experience you mention you probably want to get with the cheif instr to discuss--

Shahul you may like to join Potomac region. They do hold several DE events a year. You will need to talk to the safety steward to find out the runing on spyder and what provisions must be taken for on-track compliance with their rules. As for any clinics or signing off I can vouch for you as starting there as an intermediate student, I think that should place you in the proper run group for DE events with this region. I am in the Chesapeake Region, which covers Baltimore, but Potomac does the DE events at Summit Point. What does the rest of their schedule look like anyway?

I'm short so I should be ok there... Spyder can't go over 100mph without my tent blowing off...

Wouldn't mind doing 8/12 and 10/28

pca-potomac generally does not offer single day. you can do one day, but will have to pay the full registration fee.

If you are looking for one day events, try www.trackdaze.com. They have single day prices... I'll be instructing with them July 7-8 and they are awesome... For PCA events I instruct with First Settlers Region. They don't get up to Summit Point, unfortunately.
