Rentals in/near Chantilly?
I'm hoping a job comes through in Chantilly soon and, if so, I'll be moving up there from Georgia. I'll still have my mortgage down here to cover, so my budget is probably going to be around $2000-2500/month. Non-smoker, no kids, two 60 lb dogs. Need a garage. Any suggestions?
the realtor i was referred to sent me some listings in Centreville. anyone familiar with this area?
also, are cops pretty stringent about cars? i've heard VA is rough. i've got a radar detector in my AM V8V and i'm thinking about putting my high-flow cats back on, which will make it much louder. am i going to get a lot of hassle for that?
thanks for any help and advice!

thanks, i'll probably slap the cats back on in the next week or two.
i'm not worried about finding a specific place on the forum, just trying to get an idea of areas in general - places to avoid due to crime, traffic bottlenecks, etc.

Centreville/Chantilly area is so congested tho, especially by 66/28/29 interchange. I'd hate to drive around there.
sorry for being vague. thanks for the head's up about the areas and that interchange - i'll try to stay north of that. there are some nice looking places around, hard part is finding one that doesn't mind my dogs. do you know anything about South Riding? the place i'll be working is on 50 right by the airport. i've got a buddy that lives in Ashburn, he's been helping me out, too.
thanks again for the help. it's a new area for me, so i'm open to any suggestions or warnings!

I highly recommend Ashburn or South Riding.. I live in between. Good areas... professional neighbors... dog friendly, great suburbs.. close enough to go to city and other cool spots yet quiet enough for privacy
