Advice: AM I CRAZY?

My situation is this:

I've got a 745i, the one in my avatar.. it's awesome. The thing is, I'm in sales and I drive a LOT! I use my 7 for work. Basically 1 tank of gas in Orange County, CA is costing me about $125.00. Per month, it's about $700+.

Am I completely insane for wanting to trade my pride and joy in for a MINI???? I love the MINI.. I don't know why, but I do. My friends make fun of me, but past 3 months all i can think about is how cool they are and how much cheaper they are to own.

I can definitely afford the 7, but I'm starting to feel like it's a waste of money and my money can go to more useful things..

Advice!!!!!

Nothing crazy about it.

No better feeling than getting a new toy!

I have always loved Minis. If you truly want one then what's holding you back?

Your friends will think it's cool once they get a ride in it and actually realize how fun they are.

I can see the dilemma.. but if you really want it, I'd say go for it.

If you are spending 700 a month on gas, you could lease a Mini in addition to the 7 and still be saving money.

MINIs are fun. long distance commuting won't be as comfortable as the 7, but the smile factor is high.

Not crazy at all.

I replaced my '06 M5 with an '07 Mini Cooper S Convertible with the Sidewalk Package. No regrets at all.

Anything up to 2 hours at a time is doable.

I have an E55 and just ordered an R56 Mini to arrive in June. Join the "CRAZZZZZY CLUB"

Seriously though, as Akara pointed out, you can afford to lease and MINI and pay for the gas for the same price gas is costing you for the 745.

I think you can keep both.

i think u can keep ure 7... and buy a mini.. you could use the mini for ure daily use and only drive the 7 for like important occasions or whenever u wanna drive it. that way u save cash in gas but have 2 cars.

what he said. you're in sales, keep the 7er for various meetings where a larger car is needed and lease a mini with the difference

I ordered a Mini Cooper S for my fiance and took delivery this past friday. I love it and would drive it myself (if she'd let me). Gas costs are of significant concern. If you want it, go and get it.

As for the 1-series.. no way.. i saw one going for 41k and then saw the new X6 going for 54k.. seems VERY high for the 1-series.
