Just dropped the MiniCooper S off at Perfect Power
Getting the following installed:

Miltek Exhaust
Unichip
Short Shifter
15% pulley
Intake

That should wake the car up and increase its fun factor.

Your gonna have fun with that. We just did an 05 cooper S with the 15% pulley, evotech ECU, borla exhaust, mini madness intake and short shifter and its a blast!

I'd personally go with the Evotech ECU over GIAC.

KPV, the GIAC has been a letdown so far, they only have a program for the 15% pulley and I think the hp gain is only around 8whp. For an ECU that was in the works for two years, it's a total let down as of right now.

definitely wouldnt mind a Cooper S as a commuter to downtown SF. Would you mind me asking what kind of gas mileage you get on it, before..after the mods, any improvement?

Great choice on the aftermarket parts... I have a Miltek exhaust on my GTi, it looks and sounds great! I can't wait to see pics of your Mini.
