The autocross was a blast!! My first timed trials were pretty wimpy. Then I rode as a passenger in the car of the guy who ultimately had the best non-modified MCS time as well as the best overall time. Aha!! I saw the light. The rest of the time was burning rubber, squealing tires and ABS activation!! My first trial after riding shotgun with him was over 5 seconds better than my previous ones!!! By 3 more trials I had shaved another second off of my time.

I enjoyed the Autocross as well. Too bad I couldn't stay for longer. I definitely found the trick for the box turn in the far corner. Can you say E-Brake? It worked every time. Got me pointing in the right direction and had the fronts lit up on my way to the next turn. My best time was 35.3 seconds. How long did the event continue?

 

After lunch everyone got 4 trials, odds first, then evens. While the results were being tallied anyone who wanted got a couple more timed trials. The ambulance went out, an SUV (or was it a truck?), a VW and more. I guess it was all done around 3:30pm.

My best time was 36.2. Top scores were 32.?

BTW, today's show had a great turn-out. There were some awesome MINI'S....People put an incredible amount of work into making their MINI's into show cars!

 

Hey Ken, I was thinking yesterday that the blacked out taillights would be a great complement to your MINI.

 

Do you have pics of the car show?
How about the blacked out tail lights?
One of the guys there told me CTD has some cool tail lamps that are different than the norm.
