Wow. Pretty close race. Wonder why the Veyron owner didnt use the key to unleash full power and 9th gear lol.

WHOA! They do that on a wet road? That's nuts! I'd be scared to death driving those speeds on a wet road in a Veyron!

I made my initial post jokingly as I read on another forum someone saying the Veyron owner probably didnt use the "key" to unlock the full power so it was only making 500hp.

Im not the most knowledgable on the Veyrons technical aspects. Is this a possiblility? That GTR murdered it. I havent seen any of the major tuners GTR do that to a Veyron. Seems like an aweful big leap overnight from tuner GTR's barely hanging with a Veyron to just obliterating one. Anyone have info on the mods on that GTR on info on what mode the Veyron was in?

Wet road. Who knows what the Veyron's computers told the traction control to do with the 1001 hp at that point. Not a race, in my opinion.

The computers in the GTR weren't stock. Not even close. All of the traction control/active handling/etc. could be modified like the rest of the car. Besides, the point I was making is that the Veyron's computers are set up to handle a 1k hp, $1.3 million car from the factory. Totally different levels of what the Veyron's ECU will allow. I'm sure you knew that though...

To some degree you could compare mod vs. stock.. But to say its "the End", is like racing a 1200lb all out drag 2 rotor 70's sh*t box that does 8s on 1/4mile vs. this modded GTR. We all know you can't compare the two.

If that is indeed the case then this wasnt a real race. Ive seen other vids of the SPi800 etc kits vs the Veyron and the Veyron did that to the GTR's so something seems to be up with this. That must be alot of "something added" to enable it to do that to a Veyron. Also the scenery wasnt going by as fast as it would be expected from an all out run from the Veyron[not a scientific analysis lol but you get what Im implying]. We need more info

imo the gt-r, $for$ / lb.for lb. about as good as it gets in terms of both dd, track car and all out muscle, coupled with very dependable powertrain.

You'll get zero argument out of any real car dude on that statement. There are some exotics Id walk past to get the keys to a GTR. Its just that good.

I just cant wait till tuners get the hp up to Viper/Gallardo TT levels and go compete for the mile crown. Im betting by the end of this year there will be a few GTR's that will be killing Veyrons dead and probably competing seriously in the mile races.
