AMS GT-R Re flashing tool

Has anyone purchased and reflashed there GT-R with the stock AMS Reflashing tool? If so, please tell us how well your car performes with the reflash.



The features they post on there web site are:

Features
  • Intake and exhaust cam timing are optimized for best spool-up, driveability and top-end power
  • Ignition timing is optimized and smoothed
  • Fueling is adjusted to meet the engine's requirements
  • Boost wastegate duty cycle is optimized to the specific vehicle, and smoothed to eliminate driveability issues while maintaining a safe boost level
  • Quicker spool-up and maximum power output

Rab Dog is infamous around these parts
This is standard tool for all GTR owners with Cobb AP datalogging and sending info to AMS or any tuner to modify and send file back to give you optimal performance.

Welcome to the GTR world Robert you will learn a lot especially when you get your car similar to P-cars' but just way easier.

You're just looking at the standard Cobb AP....just relabled "AMS" on their website.

A stock car can gain about 60hp and 60tq.

With a Y-pipe and a tune those numbers go up to around 100.

A car, right now, with tune intake and exhaust, E85 and injectors (and possibly actuators) is running 10.0 in the 1/4mi.

...and downpipes (full exhaust), fuel pumps, and drag radials.

Rob,

Cobb stage 2 tune makes +60whp.. a custom tuner AMS, HP Logic, SPI or any tuner will sell you a thing called a "custom tune" for about 500 more dollars.. which will give you about 100whp+


so the AP is 995.00 preloaded with some weak tunes.. after you have the device you can call any of the tuners and they will email you a custome tune tailored to your mods..

It is a stock TURBO GT-R that went 10.0. Not a STOCK GT-R.

(That was the exact car I was referring to in my post that you replied to).
