once my car is out of break-in, I'm going to have the DP's installed and get a dyno-tune. looks like I'll be going to you guys for the dyno-tune!

Quick question, what # does stock 2012 put down?

 

I've always been a Porsche guy, recently sold my 997.2 C4S and the GTR is tempting me a lot !!!!!!

Cheaper and faster than many Porsches...

Is the transmission stronger since 2010 ?

 

yes sir ! the tranny can take a nice beating! the only issue with the tranny was back in 2009 with Lc1 4500rpm.. that has all been resolved..


stock tranny GTR's are running 10.0's @ 140..

 

It means, that if I buy a 2010 car, it's pretty much a bullet proof car ?

What other differences are there between 2009 and 2010 or 2011 models ? Please educate me, I am very interested !

 

The 2012 has a few changes. A new CF strut bar, retuned suspension, new software for the tranny( pretty much making it bulletproof).

The 2009 has a 4500 Lc that just dropped into gear which was very hard on the tranny,

New LC is very easy and infact much faster!

Plus the interior is improved and confort suspension is actually comfortable.

Get the black edition it has better seats and even better interior!!

 

I would recommend going to

Nagtoc.com and do a little reading .. a ton of good material..

2009 is the only year they had LC1 , so if that is your concern i would pick up a 2010+ nothing is bullet proof , but the trannys can handle 550whp without and issues.. @ about 700whp you might want to uprade a few parts..
