Street car hands down the GTR. IF you want to do some tracking I would say the M3.

Just another idea if u don't mind as i just learned about this a couple of weeks ago it's way cheaper and reliable, find yourself the last gen m3 before the v8s and get a turbo kit, exhaust, and a ProEfi ecm with flex fuel capability all of these for less than $15k plus the m3 ($15-20k) and have 650+ whp. I would like to build one but i have at least 4 projects going at the same time.

Maybe you guys are not hearing the OP LOL....

It's a daily driver and it'll be stock.

Between the two, the GTR is faster. M3 looks prettier. Personally, I would go with a 991S. You really can't go wrong with either GTR or M3.

Sounds like you want to stay with the bimmer. So go for the M3.

I am in your same position with what to get between a bimmer and a GT-R. Although I will be doing some good modding with whatever I get. If your not planning on doing major mods I would say the GT-R would be your best bet. However, for the price of a new GT-R, another option that I have seriously been considering is buying a used E46 M3 and taking it to Horsepower Freaks for one of their turbo kits. It would be a lot cheaper and you'd still have a daily driver putting down 600+whp depending on which kit. I do really like the new M3s I just wish we had more aftermarket options. You could still throw a supercharger and some bolt-ons to the new M3 and have an amazing car! This is a tough decision I hope this helps.
