The owners manual from my 6.1 SRT-8 recommended occasional WOT applications. Is that a "medium" break-in?

I've had nearly 40 cars (including an '09 GTR) and I have NEVER followed a "break-in" procedure, and all my cars have been completely problem free, even after sometimes heavy mods for increased power.

I do let the cars warm up a bit before hammering them though, thats just sensible.

Actually, part of the GT-R break-in, is to provide higher RPMs for periods of time... So this would be normal.

Basically, don't use launch control out of the dealers parking lot.

Normal city driving is fine. I was SURE to complete the procedure before taking my car to the track for the first time (road course, not drag strip).

What some people think is hard driving, to the car - it may not seem so harsh.

If you're not 100% throttle for 8-12 seconds at a time, you're probably not pushing the car. (If you do the math, 8 secs at WOT brings to over 100mph, and 12 brings you over 130mph)
