Show us your local backroads! (pics)

We're pretty lucky here in the San Francisco Bay Area to have such amazing roads within easy reach. Here is what we have about 30 min north of the Golden Gate Bridge... I took these shots a while back during an early Sunday morning drive in my old 996 C4S (sold). Location is Highway 1 between Point Reyes Station and Valley Ford just off Tomales Bay. I think this is one of the best stretches of tarmac in the Bay Area (yes, Skyline Blvd is great too). Now let's see some other backroads!

Good stuff - I remember these roads when I was much younger, stuck in the family wagon on countless roadtrips from SoCal to Mammoth on the 395... stairing out the window dreaming about blasting roads just like this "when I grow up"!

Love Hwy 1, amazing views... but def a lot more traffic and CHP risk than your typical backroad. I'm thinking of roads a bit more off the beaten path...

Anyone ever check out Pashnit?

www.pashnit.com

Site highlights great motorcycle rides in California, but I have discoverd a few good ones here that are worthy of 4 wheels.
