Patrols seem to be out today...
Noticed:
2 cycles and 1 cruiser on San Tomas Expwy between El Camino and Central Expressway
San Tomas between Central Expwy and Walsh seems to be a common location for patrols to hang out with radar.
Also frequently notice a cycle patrol on Walsh parked at the entrance of a business parking lot between Kiely and San Tomas.
1 unmarked cruiser pulling someone over on Walsh Ave
Be careful out there...

they've been here forever. i used to work in that business park and the nice little S curve from Central to San Tomas was my morning fun after a long commute.
one day i came flying through, half sideways onto San Tomas, and the 2 motorcycle cops were right there - just looking at me, shaking their heads. ooops! i immediately pulled into the business park, one of them followed me, and proceeded to lecture me on safety. fortunately, he let me go.

Any tips for an out of towner for next time I'm in the area? Not necessarily specific spots to watch for but I am wondering about any special tricks they use in CA. When we were there in Sept we hardly saw any patrols...we took the main hwys to Carmel, Hwy 1 through Big Sur and took 35/Skyline Blvd back to SFO. Is 35 watched pretty close? The only ones I saw on 35 were a couple that were dealing with a cycle accident just out of Saratoga.
What an awsome road 35 is (I assume you guys use this road...A LOT). We didn't seem to notice that many two years ago either when we went to Napa. Have we just been lucky?
