SMOG Testing in the Peninsula
SMOG Testing in the Peninsula
Ok - so it's that time when I need to get my 996 smogged for the first time. I have an EVOM intake so I need to find a "friendly" smog place that will not ding me on the visual.
Do any of you guys know anywhere local? PM me the details - thanks.
Kirby, I know you know

I (highly) recommend going to Menlo Smog-
which is in the Chevron gas station, on the other side of 101 from Carlsen at March road. Call Shalendra (650) 473-6977, he's a cool dude, tell him I sent ya

Is he going to be ok with my car sporting a EVOM intake? Beyond that I'm not too worried.
Money! May be the same place MTK is talking about. I'm going to go there this weekend and get this stupid smog crap over with. Yeah - let him know I'm a-comin'.
If he doesn't pass me and reports me b/c of the intake I'm coming after ur ***!
(btw - your Dinan intake is CARB so it will pass emission and visual regardless
)

there are tons of smog places all over the bay, who knows. I don't talk to Shalendra all the time, best if you call and set up a time.
If he reports me b/c of the intake I'm gonna be pissed
I brought a lot of my cars there for smog
i think people should refrain from listing particular places that might pass visual - we should always be careful.
that said, DimNSlow, it only takes 15 minutes to switch your intake - that's the easiest route.

Oh, yeah... I sold my stock intake. So that's not gonna happen.
