Audi dealer recommendation

Does anyone have a sales contact that they can recommend? Willing to try anyone from San Jose to San Francisco...prefer West side of the Bay.

Only exception is I will not go to Rector in Burlingame.

Thanks in advance...

Enrique at Audi on Stevens Creek is great. Tel him Mike and Deirdre sent you. We bought a Q7 from him last year and have been looking at a A5. He is the only one Ill deal with there.

I didn't meet with Enrique but if you can't find him, try Jim Norman also at Steven's Creek Audi. Tell his Herman Hong sent you. He spent the whole afternoon with me and the wife. Such a difference between dealing with like the FORD or VW dealers, and then a more relaxed pace here.

Also, make sure you keep all your financing options open. I was there on a Sunday, told them I might get a better finance through my Credit Union. They have a book on Friday's latest interest figures and they came under 6%. Not sure what you have in mind for financing but they made the effort to get it down.

I just LOVE the A5!!!!!!!!

Funny...I was going to say avoid Steven's Creek Audi like the plague and recommend Rector. Dave, may I ask your experience w/ rector?

Check Yelp... SC Audi is trouble...

Spring 2004...wife wanted to buy or place order for Cayenne S. Made an appointment to see someone in sales...got there at scheduled time, sales person was a no-show...sat in lobby for around for 30 minutes, nobody bothered to even greet us. Finally told the receptionist, who appeared irritated because apparently we interrupted her book-reading. Went to another dealership and placed order for CS the next week.

January 2005...wanted to place an order for a Carrera S. Made appointment, only to find that salesperson was not interested in discussing anything unless we wanted a car off the lot, which amounted to three choices that were of no interest to me. Asked about them trading for allocation or securing a future allocation, and was basically blown off. Asked about test driving the C2S since I was trying to decide between GT3 and C2S at the time, and was told that only way to test drive was if we had a sales contract. Ended up buying a GT3 from Prestige Imports in Colorado the next month instead.

Also had a negative experience in the service dept. on my 993S circa 2002, but was willing to overlook that at the time(s).

Maybe I'm wrong in assuming that the Audi side of the dealership is equally poor.

I'm wondering if things have since changed. I've recently polled the bay area audi community and they all seem to agree that Steven's creek audi is currently the devil (I have personal experiences there recently to concur with this) and that Rector Motors is the place to go these days (again, I have recent personal experience here as well...on the audi side).

Although my experience with Rector has strictly been on the service side, I'll see if I can link you to the thread.

I think the bottom line tends to be "who" you interface with. I've met all types on the lower-end dealerships (Ford, Toyota, Mazda and VW).

This was my first foray into a luxury marque so I wasn't sure what to expect.
The attitude Jim exhibited was much different than what I'm used to but I guess maybe that shouldn't be a surprise.

Also, I guess the divergence or the Porsche side from the Audi house may have something to do with it??? That was only about a year ago, correct?

I only know I dealt with Jim Norman, he was friendly all the way through.

So far, service seemed good. Nothing negative ( had to return it on Wed. for the Lojack installation.)

I know time is important and you're trying to cut out the bad dealers from the good ones; I can only say, have your ducks lined up, and tell plan A guy's you do have plan B if you and your wife are dissatisfied in any way!

Chris at Diablo Audi in Concord CA. He's the VP there.

Bought a '08 RS4 from him and he was awesome. I've dealt with the rest, he's definitely the best.

My boss and my GF both bought from Rector, he bought a Porsche and she bought an A3. I went along for both transactions, quick and easy as you like. I wish buying my M3 had been so quick and relatively painless.
