Another Speedo Option in Bay Area
Another Speedo Option in Bay Area
The OEM dials on my instrument panel started bubbling; I found a very good cluster removal procedure from "6" and removed it myself. I was going to take the cluster to a speedo shop in Palo Alto to replace the dials, but a co-worker told me about a shop he used to deal with in Walnut Creek (moved to Concord). The shop does cluster repairs for many other car makers but not for Porsches, but changing dials is straight forward and they had no problem doing it.
The turnaround time was one day less than the other place and they charged like a little more than half of the other place. I installed the cluster back on my car and all lights and needles are working fine.

I thought you were going to post pictures of you in a bathing suit - I didn't know if I should look or not
Thanks for the good info on another repair shop Eugene - looks like you had good success and quick service. How are their prices?

Thanks Neil! Just came back from a 25 mile bike ride in Napa, I'm so out of shape. I'll see you on Sunday.

that’s cool...was the shop called "Speedo Tach" by chance? I used them many years ago on a restoration and lost track of where they went. Have an address?
