Primo Philly Fundraiser: Forbes Yacht
Primo Philly Fundraiser: Forbes Yacht
Hi All,
The Forbes Yacht, the Highlander, is coming to Philly on May 6th (Tuesday). The event will raise money for the Community Coalition which strives to improve the lives of individuals living northwest of Philadelphia.
The event is primo! Top-shelf champagne, caviar, dinner, etc. Last year, they even served after dinner drinks and cigars. (All included in the ticket price.) Believe there's an open bar if I remember correctly. Live music as the boat sails around the Delaware for a few hours. You can move throughout the boat. The artwork on the wall is famous (Warhol, etc.) and you can check out the rooms. Incredible experience which is why I'm doing it the second time. (How I ended up on the Committee for the event this time is beyond me.)
Tix aren't cheap ($200/person) but $150/person is tax deductible. Unlike the car show it's not black tie.
Tix tend to sell out fast for this event since the boat can only hold so many people and it is a unique experience. If you're interested, PM me an email address and I'll send you the e-invite ASAP. Include your address and I'll also get you a hard copy invitation. It's not a "meat market", but more of a "meet market". Good scene for a date or a night on the town with the guys. Who knows, you might even get your pic in the Society Section

Good question. The blonde was my lead into this gig, and we're both listed together on the Committee(?), so it's def a date for me this time around. Still... we could kick back and enjoy the champagne, have a collective ciggie smoke on the boat deck, etc. I know that the economy's in the tank and the tix aren't cheap. Could be good for biz (no promises) as it'll be a mix of young professionals (high end) and old Main Liners.
