Yeah, PJ was hauling!
PS, I didn't buy the V1, you should have seen the kid trying to sell it. His car looked like some Acura Integra Harlequin! http://www.rossvw.com/harlequin/
It was a version 1.7 and he had a Fro!
I was like "Ummmmmmmmmmmm....ummmmmmmmmmm, I think I'm going to have to pass man"
I would bet money that the V1 was stolen.

Thanks for coming out Mitchel, David and Jodie -- hurry up and get the one day class under your belt so you can join me next spring.
Mark -- sorry to say I did not see 150 mph today... when I got to the track, my in dash thermometer said 28 degrees! Conditions were good though... track was not as slick as I was expecting.
Mini D -- I wish you told me sooner as I just bought seats, hardware, harnesses, and a Hans device last night!
-- now... GMG bar or Das Sport?... the final piece of the puzzle...
All in all a great day at the track... excellently managed by the Proformance team and I look forward to next season and some track events with you guys!

Good question Mini D...
I want to start racing, but I do not think I can afford to race a late model Porsche... yet....
My wife and I just had our first child... so a racing budget may be a ways off...
I was chatting up one of the istructors at the track that was
shaking down" his Pro-3 car (local E90 BMW spec series -- suspesion mods allowed) and inquiring about costs etc... that may be a good series to "get my feet wet" in...
Although I am out of garage space and my wife is losing patience with the car "hobby"...
So for now -- lapping days will have to suffice -- although I plan on attending some of the Pro-3 races this year to see what it is all about. I sponsored an SCCA Touring 2 class car last year (350Z) and went to a race to see what it was like... I could definitely see myself doing that as well at some point. I have thought about selling my M5 to finance a race car but given the new baby, I need at least a solid year of parenting before I develop a new obsession... at least according to my wife.
I want to expand my lapping days to at least including Portland next year.
For now miniD -- lapping will have to do but you are right... it will ultimately lead to some type of racing.
I have a feeling that lapping days are the "gateway drug" that can lead to a more serious addiction.
In time...
