educate me...

I want to get a very easy to use in car lap timing device.

what else should I be looking at?

I am sure that some of you have used these before...

mainly looking for lap times, but like the 0-60, 0-100, 0-100-0 stuff... seems like a lot of money... $1800

I like the mini because I am assuming it is small... etc...

Thoughts?

Help a brother out... I have no idea what my lap times are as I have mainly been focusing on the "line" and getting some track miles under my belt...

but I am starting to get curious and want to know if what "felt" faster is actually faster...

I do not necessarily need to download everything to my PC and compare graphs etc... well at least yet anyways...

I've been wondering the same thing too. I'd like to get one too. Right now I have a G-timer but I really don't think that it'd suit my needs.

 

I have the perfomanceBox. cost about 400 i think.

I love it. If you don't need the DL-1 capabilities, I think this is your best bet.

If you'd like to try it out I'd be happy to show it to you sometime. We can set it up in your car. drive a route for a few laps and I'll bring my Laptop so you can see what the software does for you. I have some time during the holidays. after 3 Jan, things get rough for me again, but not impossible.

Oh it is like that huh? Well I tell you what if you do not come back from Memphis with some Rendezvous ribs we may be fightn'. No for real though if you are anywhere near the Peabody hotel, Rendezvous is right across the street. By far some of the best grub ever.

Josh -- We stayed right next door to the Peabody but went to a BBQ place that was "in da hood" that our local contacts said was the best in town... called Interstate BBQ... and also a non-bbq place called Automatic Slims that was great.
