Passport SRX /Installers in WA

I live in bellevue WA and i am looking for installers who will install my laser jammer. A place that does not drill holes in my bumper to install the shifters.

Whoah! That much? Benchmark installed it in mine for $2500. Put the control unit in the center console, LED light in the overhead map light, kill switch under the dashboard, etc. You must really have had them do a lot of extra stuff, PJ.

Benchmark's pricing will vary depending on who you are (lower prices for repeat customers), and how hard you negotiate with them. They will discount if you press them.

They've quoted me around $2500 for this (I passed).

I will check the receipt when I get to my office, but that is what I remember... if I recall correctly, standard install (with system) was $2500 NOT including tax...

I think I was $3100 or $3200 including tax... but I will check...

Of course I offered to pay cash to avoid tax ... but no go... they are too legit...

the only "custom" stuff I had done:
display is in lower center console
all controls mounted in the ashtray

not cheap and I have no record of doing business with them... there was no haggling over the price... they know they are the only game in town or at least that is the impression that I got. I also got the feeling that if I had been a repeat customer I would have gotten a better deal... I am not sure why I felt that way...

I worked with a guy named Darek and I thought he was very nice to deal with...

I mean what choice did I have? I am not taking my car to car toys...

I originally bought the SRX from a Toyota dealership out in SC and took it to Benchmark to install. They reluctantly agreed to do the install but pointed out that if there were any issues with the parts being defective, or needing to be repaired, it'd come out of my pocket. I could've saved $1000 but in the end I returned the SRX and got the $2500 setup from Benchmark. The taxes were included at the time of car purchase so I ended up getting a very slight discount (7%). I've used them in the past but not in a big way but yet they still offered me what they said was a good price.

I've dealt with Derek Terada on more than a couple of occasions and from what I've found, he's a good standup guy. They've gone the extra length in providing me good customer service for those times when I did have issues with the items/installation I purchased from them. I wouldn't hestitate to pay extra again because like PJ said, I really don't want to go back to Car Toys.

CarNutz next to Park Place Motors does integrated radar and jamming as well, so you can check them out as well.

Don't got to Car Toys or Car Nutz for this service. Go to Benchmark. Period.

Agreed. I don't particularly like Car Nutz because they're shady folks.

Was just throwing another option out there per the original poster's request. I've been into CarNutz's shop a few times but they haven't worked on any of my cars. (they are good for getting nice glossy wheel brochures . The garage was somewhat ghetto and turned me off a little. Someone referred me there on this forum, but I still went with BM.

Someone told me there is a by reservation only shop in Auburn but the name escapes me...

I have no experieince with Car Nutz but I have heard nothing good about them...

Seriously, who names their shop "Car Nutz"?

Nutz remids me of the early snoop dog lyrics "back up off these N-U-T'z, cuz you gets none of these, at ease"

To each their own I suppose...

Eh, I almost bought some Fikses through them. But their front desk "manager" dude was constantly on the phone. I ended up giving him my business card and told him to call me when he had time and he never called me back even though I called him several times after that and left messages. I had $3,000 in my picket ready to put down on the race black Profil 5's.

That's when I decided to just spend the money on coilovers and spend the rest on a nice set of wheels and I couldn't have been happier.

So, by being snooty ****** who don't like money apparently, Car Nutz has made me a happy customer... of KW Suspension and BBS.
