Imagine seeing a year of hard work (nevermind the $) go up in smoke by the hand of some radical environmentalists (if ELF can even call themselves that).

I've had my share of run-ins with tree-huggers while developing land/building homes, but this story really makes me sick to my stomach.
I agree 100%. I had a bunch of people telling me "It was the builders". Seeing as how I am a builder, I know those guys would not burn down that much hard work & money. When doing a luxury house like that, you spend countless days nights hours working on that stuff to make it look and feel great. Who in their right mind would burn it down? Especially when insurance will barely cover it, and even if it does, your rates will skyrocket after something like this. It's like saying a painter would burn his own painting after working a year finishing it, it just wouldn't make sense.

Hey Gretta,
Do you happen to know Kaylyn Fillmore? She's over at Starbucks working on the IT side. Last I heard she was doing something with networking all of the new stores. Might have been the overseas stores though.....

Kind of glad I found this thread actually. I'm a Network Engineer for AT&T in Bothell. We're actually looking for another engineer out here. Most of our team is spread out between Bothell, Atlanta and Chicago. If you're interested, or know of anyone with a strong Cisco background, please shoot me a PM.

On a side note, I also do photography part time. Hopefully some day I'll be able to do it full time and leave the network engineering behind.....

At the moment I work part-time retail and full time training Navy sailors to deploy to "Gitmo", Iraqistan, and Afghanistan.

Hopefully this time next year I will be buying up lil expresso stands and getting a lil side income to try to curve my younger, less financially responsible days

^^wow! thank you for your efforts in helping the usa out! what an exciting job!

for espresso stands.... it's all about location.....location....location and finding a spot where everyone else isn't already. lol! todd had a limousine service/detail shop and also a seattle's best coffee located on rose hill several years ago. it did reallly well. he said the hard part of the espresso stand is relying on the employees to be there when they are supposed to be. especially since it's usually younger kids you employ. he had a couple of them not show up for work and he had his normal rush and line up of every day customers that come by before work. he had to hurry up, leave his limo shop....drive over to the espresso stand and take over.

so...as long as you have some really reliable employees, i think you'll do just fine! =) or hire some really nice looking employees and people will come to your stand! haha!

Thanks Jody. Yeah my GF works two jobs as well and one of them is at an espresso stand. We are looking to buy that one which has a pretty reliant staff and another one is pretty good but has a crappy location so I will probably plop that one down somewhere else. Finally going to grow up and make an attempt to be ambitious.

NDVN? Might be called something different now, but I used to work with them many years ago back when I did support.
