I work for Wizards of the Coast as a Game Software Manager. Used to be a great lead dev, now a mediocre manager. =) I run the rules engine teams for Magic Online and D&D software. If you're familiar with Magic you might get the Black Lotus reference. Mostly I just play games.

I made money in High School buying WOC stuff at auctions and reselling them. I still have a Beta lotus and a few banned cards from back in the beta, unlimited days.

Now I build, design, install and code large robotic systems for pharmaceutical companies.

You should check the value on those cards, the black lotus card can be over $3,000 alone. Some of the harder stuff to collect went way up in value.

I know that I should, I have a mox or two in a box somewhere in the house but I have moved so many times that chances are they are nowhere near MINT. I did find a sorcerers queen in a old p[programming book a couple months ago so they are still around. Honestly they remind me of just getting into starting my own sort of side biz so I doubt that I would sell them.

I do still have a mind twist, megrim, demonic deck that is complete somewhere dating back to well a long time ago. I have seen that recently after I ran the wiring for the home theater system.

I also have both pre-production and silver complete sets of the star trek ones 100% complete that I bought with some of the earnings from trading around that I would not mind selling. No real attachment to those.
