I only have one AR-10 variant at this time... a DPMS. I like it quite a bit, but I enjoy shooting at the long range (300+), and the membership dues and really nice 308 distance ammo is not cheap, so I've taken a bit of a break.
I grew up in Alaska and there were hand guns everywhere. On people hips, on the dresser, on top of the fridge. Your "manliness" was somehow tied up in your bear protection, and it had to be a 44mag or better. That was never fun for me, so I've never thought it worth much to own a handgun anymore. I'm not a small guy, and I've never felt threatened in a situation I could have been carrying a gun.
So... just the AR-10 for me.
