Newbie here

After a few months of being a member, I've been more active here now, so it's probably a good idea to introduce myself.

I've been a car nut ever since I was a kid, I follow F1 (guess what team) and love watching the 24 hours of Le Mans (though coverage in the US sucks). Ayrton Senna is one of my heroes. When I got here the first car I bought (before I even got a place to stay) was a shiny black Z4 with red interior, really fun car, but it was SMG and 2.5i, so a year ago I traded it in for my M3 convertible 6spd. I go to PR every once in a while where I've met some cool people, I also go to some BMWCCA events (I'm a member) but the fact that they don't allow convertibles without rollbars is irritating to say the least. Last year I also got into AutoX in Everett, I'm looking forward to my first Bremerton event. I enjoy drives, the most memorable was probably following a crazy 330i ZHP on Mt St Helens after a BMWCCA mountain tour. I'd love to meet some of you on Saturday but I'm doing a motorcycle newbies class (still trying to decide whether to get a Triumph Daytona or not).

I tried linking a picture but it's not working.

Welcome.
Nice to have you in the northwest. It's a great place. Good people. Red nice choice my car is red

Just for your knowledge a couple of weeks ago 2 cars wrecked at Pacific Raceways one ended up on its top. So I guess the roll cage isn't such a bad idea. Both in turn 2 and one took a forklift to get off of the tires.

The BMW crew runs a pretty good show for a track day. Safety is a priority with all the problems over the years. Keep rolling with them and you'll have a lot of fun

welcome. The NW 6speeders are pretty active and a great group. We get together somewhat regularly and have some great drives and events. M3 is a sweet ride and I have a soft spot for M's as well. Look forward to meeting in person

Was the incident at T1? Last time I was at PR (last year) a Cayman S rolled on T1, I had hung out with the driver the whole day he's a cool guy so I was worried, luckily he had no major injuries, the story was he lifted at T1 which is a pretty common (and unforgivable) mistake.

I know a few folks here like Troy or Matt.

No turn 2. 5 wide in a race lifting in turn one is ok on the start.
