It's Official...I am leaving Starbucks
Well, as you have no doubt heard in the news over past few months, Starbucks is going through difficult times and we are getting ready to close over 600 stores and slow down development. I had intended to see my company through these tough times, however, have been recruited and received a job offer I could not refuse. I will start my new position as Director of Real Estate and Construction for all west of the Mississippi for T-Mobile retail stores. I start on the 21st will have staff in Seattle, San Francisco and Dallas and my office is less than five minutes from home with a covered parking garage for my Pcar! I am so sad to leave Starbucks (you know how devoted and loyal I am), however, being a type A who likes to make forward progress, I am very excited about this new opportunity. So, sorry everyone, after this week, you'll have to buy your own coffee! I'll be at Exotics on Main this Saturday and we can walk over to Sbux for one more round - hope you can join me.
Congrats on the job Greta! Sounds like you are definitely making the right decision! GL with your new position! If you're in need of a contractor to build the retail stores, we're expanding into commercial construction (shameless plug)
congrats greta! i'm so happy for you! i know starbucks wil miss you like crazy though! i wish you all the happiness in the world and best wishes in your new position! keep us posted on how it's going!
you're going to do great!!

Congratulations Greta,
I am sure Starbucks will miss your contributions, T-Mobile is a great company John Stanton and Crew built a solid foundation and Deutch Telecom is a great company as well.
I hope to see you Saturday.
