Got a little buddy for the Gallardo

Yup, I gave in today. I went down to Ducati Seattle and purchased a tangerine color Buddy 125. The color on the web site is a very bad representation of it. It should match the G pretty well actually.

I had e-mailed them earlier this week to ask about pricing & availability on the 125s. They said the Aug shipment was already sold out but I could get one sometime in Sept. The next day I get an e-mail that they got two extra tangerine 125's in their last shipment of 50cc bikes. I called and put down a deposit to hold it until I could check it out in person. Went down today after lunch and at first I was going to wait for a Red one instead. But the more I looked at it the more I liked the color. Took it for a spin around the block and I was sold. It's not lightning fast but it is quick enough and fun.

Unfortunately, it's not fast enough that I'd be comfortable driving across 520. So right now it's in my friend's garage for me to figure out how to get back from Seattle to the eastside. Current idea is to rent a pickup, buy a ramp, and drive over to load it up.

Once I get it home I'll post up pics of it and the G.

(oh, and those that are curious, the Mini is still somewhat in consideration but wouldn't arrive until late Nov/early Dec)

I went today and got the scooter from my friends place. The drive across 520 was better than I expected. Still a bit uneasy at 60+ mph and wind blowing across. Not all that bad though. I think I'll stay away from freeways all the same.

here's some pics now that its home. Looks good with the Gallardo. You can see my Boxster S in the background. No pic with the Touareg as I had to take the pic from the spot where its normally parked.

yup, Gallardo needs a nice detailing. I just have to find time to get it to MirrorWorks so they can take care of it. I'll be driving it tomorrow though so no big rush to wash it.

Thanks Jody, that's just what I was going for - Cute

Like the new wheels. Lots of fun toys at Ducati, huh! I am having 3LG (Aaron) come out on Saturday to do my quarterly detail. He does a super job and works with my schedule.

The one thing I love about 3LG is that Aaron will come to you and you never really have to worry about when your schedule will allow for a day to drop your car off.. (that and he does amazing work)

That sounds like two, or three, things to me

I'm really liking that idea as finding time to get the Gallardo in is going to be difficult. I'll have to look in to 3LG services...

Yes, love it that he brings his entire shop to you - and yes, he does a really great job.
