Dinner is set up for 6Pm. The Dinner will be an Omakase Style dinner. For those of you who have been to Maneki, or tuna house Ban Ya is about the same size. It is a small restaurant situated behind a 7-11.

Cost is 50 dollars per person for a Omakase style not including Beer, wine, sake, Shoju. It is likely if we get more than 20 we will have the place pretty much to ourselves.

2 weeks before I will gather RSVP’s. A week before I will be letting the owner know the total number to expect.

I know the Owner really well. This is not an Americanized Japanese restaurant. He makes everything he can. His own broths, noodles, ramen, gari, sauces etc. His job in japan was to visit different cantons and learn the regional recipes. Then start a competing restaurant. I dined at Ban Ya 3-4 times a week for 4 years, and to this day consider the owner a very good friend. I have tried many a Japanese restaurant in seattle metro area. I have yet to find one that is this traditional 4-5 pages of traditional menu, plus sushi on the English menu. With the Japanese menu 2-3 pages longer.

The girlfriends family is in Beaverton..., this should be an easy date to make. I'll plan on it with the woman.., so keep me on the list. Just came back from the ice cream run.., I love 6speed.. haha.

Awesome, I think you will enjoy it. The restaurant is just a mile or so from Washington square in Beaverton. If you get into the area early you can kill time by tax free shopping. <my wife says i need to let people know that.
