Window Tint

So my car is lacking something.

OK...

A lot of things...

But one of the things that I can change is to hide the guy inside making it look bad, and possibly make it look a slight bit better at the same time. I am of course asking about window tinting.

Anyone her got a dynamite recommendation for me? Who to see, who not to see, and why? PM me if you've got to, just to keep the thread polite and all.

Thanks for any help guys and gals.

I've been very pleased with the tinting job that Metropolitan Detail did for me. A side benefit is they have loaner cars (Scion Xb's). They have put clear bra on both my cars, tinted the Porsche (20%) and detailed the Porsche. I'm happy with their work and service.

i actually had a mobile guy come and do my boxster's for me. they are called "a shade above". it was convenient as i didn't have to drop off my car and lose it for a day. =)

we had the 996 done at mr. tint and shine. i think that's what it's called. he's gone there for a long time and has always been happy with their service. it's in bellevue. =)

Accutint did mine once and they did a great job. I originally went with 35% but I wanted 20% so I had Metropolitan Detail do it once but they used an outside contact who damaged my leather interior. Since then, they no longer offer tinting services. So I'd recommend Accutint. They did a great job for me.

Wanted to bring this back from the dead briefly. Do any of these shops tint the front windshield? I'm thinking of getting the front done on my car. I owned a beater a while back and it had 20% on the sides and rear, and I think 35 or 50% on the front windshield. I don't want to go really dark, just 50% or so.

Accutint tints the front windshield but IMHO, it's a BAD idea.

The main reason why I also think it's a bad idea to tint the front windshield is because of rock chips. Knowing how unlucky I am is reason enough not for me to do it.

I believe they put the tint film on the inside not the outside.
