What's with all the "Honda's with wings" bashing!

My Honda is #55 in black ...oh wait...never mind.

I get regular e-mail and private messages from people asking where they can see my car. This is simply a venue to make it accessible to those who want to see it. We have no monetary gain in this, there is nothing that makes us want to turn it into a zoo, but we do want it to become a reason to come out and we want other exotics to come out. We don't have a specific formula because we want to be as inclusive as possible, but still have some general guidelines.

Everyone will argue about what is and isn't exotic and we want to lean on the more inclusive than exclusive side if that helps. If you want to show your car and you're unsure, just ask someone.

We're shooting for 8:30 so you have time to dress. Besides, it's still a little cold.

In terms of a suggestion, Tommy et al, I'd say we put up some signs. maybe a section devoted to certain types. We'll generally know what cars are coming and we can have a section(s) set up for those types.

Everyone else can come and bring their cars. If the organizer has a spot for them, they get waved in to the section, if not, they park outside the section. If someone needed to be assured of a spot, they could reach out to the organizer ahead of time. Most of us, wouldn't need that.

Thoughts?

I offer to help with the events. Be that manual labor, planning, whatever.
That may work well too. It would be interesting to do different themes in addition to a core draw.

I have learned from this thread that calling someone's car unexotic is along the lines of calling someone's baby ugly.
Yea, and that's the problem, some babies are real ugly. We're just trying to be honest about it. Believe it or not, there are places where an LP isn't welcome either and I demand no special rights when I take my car somewhere.

Ouch!

Seriously guys, this thing is getting way too complicated. I commend you guys on trying to set it up within certain criterias. But unfortunately there are no right or wrong avenues here. I think just letting it play out without worrying about what shows or doesn't show up is the best way to handle it. Otherwise.........do you really want the headaches??

Just my .25 cents.....(deflation)

I just look forward to seeing a variety of rare cars, ie. not typically seen in rush hour traffic, in a venue other than a dealership!

I used to have to enter and attend car shows to see the truly one-off autos, but these informal gatherings are much more fun.

Right ON!
Which is exactly what is the spirit of the event.

I think everyone just took things personally etc. Lets all take a step back and start over.

I think having a section of the parking lot reserved for the truly exotic cars is a great idea. I think what happened was people misunderstood (myself included partially) that anyone without an "exotic" car was no longer welcome to the event.

I look forward to coming out once in a while, as this is quite a drive from the Lake Tapps area. Enjoy the new venue!

Our goal is to build an event that gives you a reason to drive up.

Yes there were some pics from a dateline special but don't think I should post it on here since this is a wholesome family themed site
