Apple Sauce is infamous around these parts
Germezzy, Tom will probably give you his own experience, but I'll tell you about mine.

The car was superbly fast. Super F' ing fast!!!
I'll post a video on youtube that I took from inside the '****pit' of the beast.
The video does not convey how damn fast the thing is.
In the video you'll hear Jerod Shelby discuss a recent trip to Dubai where he raced a Veyron. It takes the Veyron nearly twice as much distance to get to the same 200 mph++ speed. According to Shelby, the SCC can achieve 205 mph in 1 km= .625 mile. That is damn quick!!! All I can attest too is that we were bookin' down the highway a pretty good clip, and at one point I got to experience some of that speed and acceleration that kicked the Veyron's butt.

Guys! It was an incredible experience. Lucky person that makes the top bid to buy that car.

PS: The HP gauge has a max reading of 1180 HP. The video (I was barely hanging on to the camera) is not that focused on the gauge, but on several occasions, Jerod pegged the meter! OMG!!!

It's extremely fast, but there is no traction control and with RWD it's very easy to get sideways with that much power, however the car is very stable. It's actually very comfortable at all speeds and doesn't feel too stiff. I was surprised by now nice it was. The car would be comfortable on a very long drive and it will hold its own with other cars on the street. I'd like to visit the factory and see some of the more recent cars. I did like it a lot more than I expected.

Smile SSC Ultimate Aero -<adrenaline> video

Here's the video I cobbled together from a few sources. The audio is fair to poor depending on how hard Jerod Shelby pushed the accererator
I was using my Nikon D90 for the video in the car, I learned after the fact the darn camera's audio quickly overloads or saturates the audio front end, which then fully distorts the audio at the digital level. It's too bad because the sound this car makes inside the cabin* is pretty amazing. I reworked the audio as much as possible to pull out what Jerod was saying during the ride.

If you do watch the video, there are a few times that I have the HP gauge in the viewfinder. Keep an eye out for how often the meter hits past the peg!!
ahem-the gauge only goes to 1180 HP!

* I used 'cabin' here because 'C-kpit, as used in reference to an airplane cabin must be a dirty word on this forum, my previous post was edited for that word. What's this planet coming to that I can't use a proper word? Sheesh!*

I hope you all like it!

The benefit of a lightweight and stiff chassis is amazing roadholding and an acceptable ride at the same time. The no traction or stability control and the 1180 hp makes it not for the faint of heart or of right foot.

I must admit I was impressed by the car. Yea, this car will shock and amaze anyone behind the wheel but it's also something that must be treated with respect as we not only broke loose, we also found ourselves about 15-20 degrees off our intended direction in a fraction of a second while already going the speed limit on 520. I think for anyone who's really serious about the something outrageously fast, this would be it.

Tom,

The car broke loose a few times when on my ride with Jerod, but I always felt that Jerod was in control of the car, put it this way, I never heard a 'whoa' or S--T come out of him, and as fast as we were going, the car felt pretty good to me.

Yes, that kind of power and speed must be respected at al times. BTW, this car never even reached it's limits on the roads, there was just to much traffic.

Wheelspin at freeway speeds is truly an amazing experience, only the very few and lucky have been able to experience that. I always joke, my car will spin the tires at 70 another twin turbo car I drove would spin them at 90 mph, I won't sleep until I experience wheelspin at 120 mph. The Aero I bet would wheelspin at 120 mph.

I can get my tires to break loose at freeway speeds without too much trouble, but the sensation in the UA was different. It's not what I'd call sudden, but when it does hit the HP curve is so steep that the wheels spin in no time. I was especially impressed by the ride.

Any noticeable turbo lag?

It's very slight if any however you do notice the power spool up. What's strange about the sensation is that it almost doesn't matter how it happens. It's sort of like wondering if there is any lag on a space shuttle launch, as any lag in the bigger picture doesn't matter. Also as a passenger it's harder to tell how he's driving. It could be that he doesn't just stamp down so the car remains in control and it's rocketing down the road so fast that as a passenger, that lag is not what I'm thinking about.

Coming from the LP640, the UA is noticeably faster, but we're now talking fractions of a second 0-60 rather than seconds so it's all relative. I'd have to drive it for a real comparison. It's impressive.

With a street tire car you can only go so fast 0-60 its in the big incrememnts like 0-100 , 0-150 , and 0-200 that the big power really shows how nasty it gets at higher speeds.

I wonder how an LP640 or the LP670-4 would feel with twin turbo's? When you turbo an engine that already has an amazing amount of power normally aspirated it just goes from we might die to were going to die that much quicker!

Yea, it really wouldn't interest me because we are talking incremental differences, and you're right, the distances to really demonstrate the power are very short. I'm eager to drive a 670 and see what I really think of the car and see how different it feels compared to what I already have.
