Hello everyone, I wanted to take a second to introduce myself. I heard about this community through a friend and wanted to come check it out. I've been into the car scene since 2000, so I'm a general newcomer to the hobby. I'm currently an owner of the erm.. 'calmer' side of the Tuner class of cars, driving a 2006 STI, not exactly a supercar, but still a great daily driver. I have a healthy respect for the exotic world and enjoy motors and good engineering in general. I'll be reading old posts and digging around while I get my bearings here. Great site, look forward to becoming a part of the community.

 

Welcome to the 6speed family. There are some interesting characters on this board but in general we're a fun group. Did you have that blue STi at Exotics @ RTC on Saturday?

Nope, I drive a gray STI and sadly I didn't make it to RTC last weekend, I've missed the last two but I'll be there next time for sure. Hopefully I'll get to meet some people there. I'm not really into showing my car currently (she's pretty stock except for minor performance upgrades) so I'll just be hiding it in general parking (where it belongs for an exotics show anyhow =P).

Welcome to the forums. What all have you done to the STI performance wise?

 

Haha. Low Rent, don't look at it that way, it's just that there is a place and time for everything =). You should check out the SRP meets or join up on NASIOC.com if you want to do some Subaru meets, really strong great community and the NW chapter is full of wonderful poeple!

Fly - all that is on my STI right now is intake and cat back exhaust that was put on there by the previous owner - Half assing mods is a pet peeve so my Accessport ECU is on it's way to me soon along with a new downpipe. After that I'll take it down to have it protuned and wrapped up at 400 crank HP. Call it good after that!

I joke about the low rent district because the cars that are on display are rediculously nice. I love my subaru, its a fun car. I went to the SRP meet last weekend in Lakeland Hills. Did you? I have been a NASIOC member since I purchased my car but I don't post much. I actually use the same screen name as I do here. I look forward to meeting you at a meet somewhere.

PS. You are gonna love the new downpipe and tune. I was amazed at the difference it made.
