white '07 cayman s @ barrier - anyone know the history on this car?

hi folks,

as the title of this thread states, there's an '07 cayman s @ barrier which they just got this week on trade. im posting in hopes that the original owner might be on this forum and could provide me some history on this car. :fingers crossed:

i'm more than likely picking this car up, but would be nice to have more information if available. thanks for reading!

Wow, 4 owners on a car that was new 2 years ago? That would raise a flag for me, especially when the last reported mileage was 5271. Before even thinking about buying it, I would take it to a third party for a full PPI.

I have to agree with that. 4 owners seems ridiculous. Doesn't the factory warranty end after owner number 3?

seeing the 4 owners was a red flag to me, but what is stranger is the order that all that happened. for sale in bellingham, registered in wenatchee, new owner again in wenatchee, then listed for sale again in bellingham? then even after that, its still strange.

the factory warranty is still in effect according to barrier, along w/ a CPO warranty

Is this going to be your daily car? I just ask because I personally would be worried that there may be something wrong that they will need to fix and you may be without it while they are doing so. Or, it may just be that all the previous owners didn't have time to drive it.

Good thing is that is does have the CPO warranty.

yeah, this will be my daily. part of me says, hey its covered under warranty with CPO, if anything is wrong we can get it fixed... the other part of me says, if something is wrong i don't want it.

Has Barrier shown you a complete service history print out? Have you had a 3rd party do a PPI? As David has said, I wouldn't buy ANY used car without those items.

I'm getting a 3rd party ppi done with Redmond European. Any suggestions on another shop that people have experience with?
