speaking of photoshoot....i am in the process of organizing my 2nd annual remlinger farm photoshoot/luncheon in may. here is the link from last year. we had quite a few turn out! hopefully you'll join us this year!

There weren't any potholes joking. I am in as of now. That looks like it was a lot of fun!

 

actually, the grounds are pretty flat. i checked out the field and walked it first before having everyone come out. it was kind of funny to watch the cars all drive in. they were so low they looked more like lawn mowers! =)

right now it's looking like it'll be on sunday the 24th of may. i'll start a thread as the time gets closer.

 

Actually, I think it's a bad idea to do a large photo shoot like the one we had last year. It's too hard for any one photographer to focus on any given car or cars. The number of cars should definitely be limited if there's to be an effective photo shoot. I felt bad that I wasn't able to place much focus on many of the cars last year.

I actually went on a photo shoot earlier today but not a car-related one.

 

well last year was more of a free for all photoshoot/picture day. i wanted to give everyone the opportunity to get together and get pictures of the large group of 6speeders that we have and i didn't want to leave anybody out. i did it more to be a fun, social picture day rather than a professional photoshoot. this years will be similar as fas as being social event, and more of a fun picture day and lunch and a chance to get all the 6speeders in a picture.

i had originally made it for an all silver car photoshoot but then i was asked by many if we would make it something for everyone, so i changed it up so everyone could be a part of the event.

i understand what you mean about being able to focus on a few cars though. it would be hard to do with so many. but i guess there can be other types of photoshoots organized by others that focus on just a few. the area is big enough that if the we want to move certain cars over and just do pictures of them, we can do so.

Greta, just want to make sure you know May 18th was last year event, Jody said in her previous post that she is trying to make this year event happen on May 24th. I will be there, I hope to see you there !

 

Aw heck I won't be in town on the 24th. I'll be at the Skip Barber at Laguna Seca learning a thing or two about going around a track. A shame! I would've loved to be able to make it!

 

Hahaha... Jason always has the best reasons for missing GTGs.

 

Last years event was great. I hope I'm available for the next one.

 

i'm glad you guys enjoyed last year! i had fun too! i hope the weather works out as well this time! i wish i could pick a date that would work for everyone as it would be really cool to have you all be there. the impossible mission is picking a date that works for everyone. my hopes are that i can schedule this far enough in advance so you all know about it way ahead of time. i ended up choosing the 24th of may since i figured the 31st is a holiday and people may be out of town.

i'll post up a thread with details as the time gets a bit closer. =)

 

You figured wrong! May 25th is Memorial Day this year, so your date would fall in the middle of a 3 day weekend.

 

oh wow larry! you're correct! good catch! i always thought memorial day fell on the 31st. i'll reconsider then and move our picture day to the 31st then. i'll post up a thread as the time gets closer and everything is finalized.
