May 30th Uptown Car Show
May 30th Uptown Car Show
Hey guys thought I would drop this link to anyone interested in attending a pretty good size car show. I've only been once and this is a new location for them. Typically they've had this event at the Tacoma Airport.
I believe most of the cars are Classics but last year I know there was some exotics
This is also the same location we are having the Gig Harbor Cars Coffee event on April 19th

I have no affiliation with this and might actually be out of town. Just a heads up

Hey Mark,
I just checked with a friend of mine that is a member of the Gig Harbor Cruisers, the vintage/muscle car group that does the shows at the Narrows Airport. He says that this one coming up at Uptown is unaffiliated with their group, but rather is one of the guys going out on his own to put on this show. The Cruisers themselves are planning a big show at the Airport on July 26, then again at Gig Harbor Uptown on August 1.....and he says all cool cars are welcome at either.

He just sent me an email saying that it would be great if newer cars, especially performance-oriented ones, would participate in these events because "it's about time some of the the muscle car guys get an education" on the new technology and advancements out there.
Uptown Car Show
Hi,
I not affiliated with Gig Harbor Cruisers, but a couple of their members have offer advice in planning the Uptown Car Show, and will be volunteering the day of the show.
The Uptown Car Show benefits Susan G Komen for the Cure for Breast Cancer. http://www.UptownCarSow.com. I am walking in the 3 day 60 mile walk for breast cancer.
Both shows benefit great causes and will have a unique mix of cars. I hope you will attend both show.
Uptown Gig Harbor is family friendly.
And you'll see great cars, hear cool music and eat delicious food!

I know not much interest here before and remember I have no affiliation with this event. Just thought I'd bump it one time before Saturday's event.
I've been told by the organizer they have over 200 cars already signed up and it could be a lot of fun for families to see some of the cars.
Same spot that Mordelo and I have had a couple of Sunday events at in Gig Harbor. Nice location with lots of space. I've been told they have room for 300 cars with 12ft wide spots for each one. That's a pretty good chunk.

Thanks for the mention of the Uptown Car Show http://www.UptownCarShow.com. May 30, 10 am to 4 pm (setup for cars starts at 8 am). So far we have room, there's never enough gorgeous cars! Hope to see you all there. Great cause, cool prizes. People's choice is car you'd most like to drive home. Should be an interesting vote.
