I pulled the trigger on new 2010 GT3...

Well after much debate, I have decided to purchase a 2010 Carrara White GT3. Steve Cho at Barrier helped me put the deal together and was as always, very professional and great to deal with. I am receiving $90,000 on my 2008 Turbo that has 17,900 miles and I received a token 1% off of MSRP.

Not too bad I guess but I was hoping to buy this car a little better than the '08 Turbo that was paid for at full MSRP. I guess I achieved my goal with the 1%, no?!

This is my fitth Porsche in 9 years and the first non-silver one! ('00 Boxster S, '03 C4S, '03 Turbo X-50, '08 Turbo) I'm a little nervous about moving to a GT3 from a Turbo as I've become accustomed to the save-your-*** safety of AWD.

I'm also a little concerned about having Mich. Pilot Sports as I like to drive my cars a lot an d I hear getting caught in rain or standing water can be lethal in a GT3. Any other every day tire options you would recommend for the GT3?

Attached below is a listing of options, I think its a really nicely optioned car except for the fact some morn ordered the 3-Spoke steering wheel in leather! I'll have to check out how much a switch to alcantara will be.

I hope I won't be disappointed but I thought a change would be good! It should be here in 2 weeks. Thanks - Brad

Congratulations on your new GT3. Excellent choice. Please let us know if we can help you protect your new toy with paint protection film.

I see more people go from Turbo to Gt3 than vice versa.. Atleast as of recently.. Many complaints of a numb feeling turbo car with no roar w/ the Turbo Cars..

Just remember the power band is different from a turbo. So shift at higher rpm for that sweet spot. Have fun and see you back here in two years for another dilemma.

Congrats, it's a awesome car!

It comes with PS2's not the PS2 Cup tires? The cups are the R compound ones, the PS2's are just great street tires that last under 10kmi.

Congrats!

The Porsche pricing always makes me giggle -- "death from a thousand cuts" as they charge for every little bauble and tinklet they add on. I should talk though ... I paid 10-large for a silly stripe on my car.

Yep. The standard stripe is "only" $8k. Another $2k for "non-standard" stripe color.
