Anyone ever have to Lemon a car?

Hey guys,

just wondering if anyone has ever had to go through this process? I've had one problem after another with my ML63 and its driving me nuts. I've met the criteria (multiple attempts at repairs, over 30 days in shop, etc), but MB refuses to work with me so i'm considering pursuing a lemon law buy back.

thoughts?

I had a "lemon" couple of years ago, it was a 2006 Chevy Tahoe. I kept getting a check engine light, and the car would shake like crazy. It went in for service 4 times, they changed a different part everytime with no solution. I tried to get the dealership to buy it back, but kept getting the runaround. I went online to find a lemon law lawyer and hired him. Within the first 2 weeks of the lawyer filing paperwork, I was issued a check for ALL my money back, lawyer fees were about $1500. I had the car for about a year, hope this helps....

you should get a lemon law lawyer and do it ,it doesn't cost you anything ,the manufactured pay for everything .I'm suing Porsche right now to buy back my 09 C4S .

Can you tell me about your recent experience? Have they bought it back yet? How has it been since you got the lawyer involved? Just wondering...

I have an '07 MB ML63 and it had an electrical failure at 2500 miles while i was driving I5. car died, had to have it towed. it was "fixed" and then started doing the same thing again a couple months later. both times the thing kept dying in traffic. Finally, it ran fine for about 10K miles and started having more electrical problems. The latest electrical stuff landed the car in the shop for about 3 weeks. every time they said it was fixed, i had to bring it back within a few days. first it was the SAM unit, then some electrical harness, blah, blah. The car has now been in the shop for about 34 days since i've owned it all related to different electrical issues. I told MB that i have no confidence in this car anymore and its ridiculous for an AMG to have so many problems. i requested a buy back and they denied it. I am currently sending all my paperwork to a lemon law lawyer that i found online. I'll let you know how it turns out. I'm a bit surprised, but i bought this car from Barrier and got very little support from them.

had a similar problems with ford at one time. talk to the service manager and request DSB paperwork. that will get the ball rolling. after investigation with the dealership and interview with me, ford decided to "buy back" the truck. never had to go to the bitter end but you need to pressure bmw to act. lemon law attorney's are well versed on the process but it would appear you are in the drivers seat on this one. 30 days is all you need. keep extremely well documented notes and SRO's. good luck.

i know...not sure why i've had some bad luck with cars. i bought them both new. The M6's problems were minor compared to my Benz. I had a few electrical issues with the M6 and BMW stepped right up and said 3 weeks in the shop was too much and they just gave me a new car. The Benz has been one thing after another and now i just don't trust it to be reliable. I also feel like i spent way too much money for it too have so many problems. Whatever, hopefully it will work out. I guess i should have listened to ol' marky mark
