Radar

Anyone use a radar detector? I just bought a yellow gallardo and I'm thinking that I probably need one. Any recommendations?

He asked about just radars...the 9500Ci is an radar/laser jammer system. I have both. The V1 does better picking up X & K bands but the 9500Ci does better with Ka signals.

For me, being able to block out false alarms was huge. 9500 is also easy to hide.

you can buy the 9500xi without the laser shifter. I however have both and love it. It seems that the valentine and 9500ci are most popular on the forum.

why would you talk to derek at benchmark???

talk to Hugo at benchmark - my rep

they're all good.

to the OP - if you're tooling in around with that thing, get protection and eventually hardwire it so you don't have a cig lighter cord junking up your interior....congrats on the car!!!

Another thumbs up for Derek. He's the dude to see at Benchmark. He's consistently given me good customer service.

I have the V1 and I admit it gets annoying at times. You get used to where all the radar signs and other crap along your normal driving routes are and have to filter them in your mind. I think I might try something else next time just based on that.

It is REALLY nice however to have the bogey counter and the directional arrows showing you which way the signal is coming from.

One of the features on the 9500XI is that it has built in GPS which allows you to permanently mute the reoccurring false detections.......it remembers based on location stored in the unit.

I have the 9500ix and really like it. The 9500ci is great and can sometimes be found on eBay.
