So on Saturday, Sarah is at a girl scout cookie site sale with our daughter and someone is kind enough to hit her in the drivers side rear door. Not bad, but enough to dent the door and remove some of the paint. She was totally responsible and left a note with her contact info. We called and she apologized and left her insurance info and everything is being taken care of. Well today, Sarah is outside talking with some friends at work about the accident and one of them says, we saw someone almost hit you today. Sure enough, they actually did hit her. AGAIN. Not to much of a dent, but a hit and run at least. Drivers side rear 1/4 panel. No note this time. Police were called to file a hit and run report. Most of the Mill Creek officers come into the coffee shop while they're on duty, so she might have actually known the officer that came out.

Off to the body shop it goes....

On top of all of that, I had a rock hit my windshield yesterday. I didn't see anything until this morning. Found a small crack near the bottom! Just great.

 

I had brand new Lexus LX570 that got hit in the parking lot at work by an elderly man who used the gas pedal instead of the brake. But the police came and his insurance covered it. Then a few weeks later the same car got hit in the same spot but this time it was a hit and run, no note just damaged car. Then the dealership scratched that same spot when they were doing a routine service.
The car was cursed, and since it was very boring I sold it back to the dealership and got a CTT.

I took a close look last night when I got home. If whatever it was had hit 2mm lower, it would have hit the blackout trim below the windshield wiper and I'd have been fine. Literally 2mm.....
Oh well. The windshield is being replaced tomorrow between 12-5. Only a $100 deductible.
