Anyone in the tri-state looking for an affordable but amazing detail.. I found it!!!

Hey guys just wanted to share my experience about a detailer.. I am on many many forums, and read post after post and thread after thread about who had a good experience with a detailer, and who didn't like the job they did, etc.

Well my black SL55 AMG was filthy... it had swirl marks but that wasn't even half the problem. I had actual scratches that were just surface scratches but I doubt the car was EVER buffed before prior to me buying it (May 09) and keep in mind this SL55 was an 03 with 32k miles. I was very weary but at the same time optimistic because I had seen people post up detailed pics from all over the country of battered beater cars and the detail they had done transformed it into a new car.. my car really looked like crap even so much after a car wash it had that hazy look to it when the sun hit it and the swirl marks were so bad they looked like scratches and I also had scratches to go along with it - The car needed a good detailer in the most desperate way.

After reading up on e90post I saw a detailer that a few people had very good experiences with. Hell, he even comes to your house in a mobile truck. I was like even better.. 6 hours of all this stuff he is going to do to my car and I can sit inside at my house and do what I need to do while he can sit in my driveway and detail my car. When Lou got to my house, my car hadn't been washed in about a month.. it had bird crap on it, even tree sap from god knows where, the wheels were gunmetal in color from all the brake dust and the black paint looked like I purchased a haze gray SL instead of black...Like I said it was so bad even after a wash I was embarrased to drive it.. I needed this detail and had been putting it off.

Well, after all the steps Lou did on the car, polish step 1 this, polish 2 that, wash again, claybar, buff, and whatever else he did my car looked better than new. I seriously mean that. When I drove around after he left I saw a buddy in my shopping center and actually asked if I got a new paint job, even better; my nutty neighbor (if that is even the word for her) was walking her dog and goes omg that car is gorgeous when did you get that (keep in mind it had been sitting next to her house which she saw everyday for a month and 1/2 already but since the car was now shining like a diamond she finally 'realized' it. The best part was the price was very competitive... I had asked around and this actually was on the cheaper side compared to most detailers I inquired about. Black cars are a bit more expensive since they require an extra 1-2 hours of work. Lou was at my house from 10:30 to 4:30 and worked the entire time, he did not stop for a break once to even use the bathroom.

(I had the complete detail which is 4-6 hours). Yes that is the price for most cars.. like I said black is probably a bit more for you as well if its in bad condition.. not alot more but a little (I paid $295 all together).. I really was skeptical at the price at 1st(listed at $190 for a small car) because that was basically the price I would pay at my local car wash and they were using who the hell know what on my car, and the car would of been buffed by someone making $6 an hour that most likely had no idea what they were really doing.

Here are some pics I have.. but they are from a 2 megapixel camera...honestly even with this camera phone you can see the deep reflective shine.

Some of these pics are before tire shine and before the final touches.. I was so amazed at how it looked that I started taking pics with my cell phone.

I just wanted to post here because most of us have really nice cars and I did not know who the hell to go to and I didn't want to pay $400+ for a detail... no where EVEN CLOSE to that.. I feel I got a $400+ detail without spending the extra money. I am amazed at how the car looked after, literally amazed as was everyone who has seen it after he was finished with it. I know everyone lives all over the place -- I think he travels to anywhere in the surrounding area from central NJ on up. If your a bit farther I would get 2-3-4+ cars together and I am sure he would come. He usually has a partner but his partner he said was doing another job so he did mine alone, but if you got cars together he would bring a few guys with him because I asked him about me and some of my buddies getting together for our next detail. Any questions or anything about the detail feel free to PM me. Just wanted some others to feel safe using this guy if you do. If your anything like me it takes you tons of research to make nearly any decisions lol

how long does a detail job last ? does it still look good after a couple of car washes? or is it just like a very good car wash?

No the polishes and fresh wax last after car washes for a while. It also keeps crap off the car since its more slippery (bc of the wax) a car wax absolutely can not compare what a detail job is like.
