Window Tinting on Long Island

Did a search and didn't find a thread.

So, can anyone recommend a good tint shop on LI? I live in Western Suffolk.

Thanks!

Thanks! What types of tints are offered (i.e., ceramic, etc.)?

The standard film used is a 3M FX Premium Automotive Window Film. If you are looking for a specific film to be used, I can look further into it.

Does that come in a 50% tint? I really don't want to go darker than that. Is the premimum tint the same as the crystalline tint from 3M?

Sorry for all the questions.

It comes in a 55%. No, they are not the same.

I'm also looking to get my windows tinted on my C4S. What is the best window tint on the market currently available?

Here is an article I wrote recently about the Crystalline tint. It is a very unique tint which also requires a unique application method.

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-dynamics.html

If you choose not to go with Crystalline, I would recommend 3M Color Stable tint. Like the Crystalline, also 100% free from metal content (which can interfere with any electronic components). Here is a pic of a 997TT with 70% Crystalline. Behind it is a 997 with 50% Color Stable.

Here is a 997S we just completed with the 3M 70% Crystalline tint. The client was absolutely beside himself with how different the car looked without looking like it was tinted. Very subtle, yet classy. Definitely not the "I can see you, but you can't see me" look that will get you a nice ticket in the city.

Thanks for all the input!

After a lot of consideration I went with Detailing Dynamics in Mineola. I just picked up my car and I have to say that I could not be happier. Matt and Eddie did a great job and their customer service is impecable. They stayed late to finish up the car knowing I had a tight deadline tonight and needed to take the P-car.

Not only did they tint the windows (3M color stable 50%), they also tinted the rear taillights and the clear Euro side markers. They also, at my request, replaced the chrome Carrera script with a black 911. The car just looks amazing. Very subtle, very stealthy!

Thanks again to everyone and especially to Matt and Eddie!
