RR's do have a bad history as far as reliability goes - but those were the models before the 2003-200X series currently in production (which were actually designed/engineered by BMW, before the Land Rover unit was sold into Ford) so they are night and day different from the legacy Rovers. One of my best friend's also has a 2006 full-size and has had zero problems. As long as you are under warranty and live within a reasonable distance from a dealer (just in case) - I say go for it. Gas mileage on the supercharged is the only problem I would bring up .. it's much worse than the regular HSE full-size Rover.

Cool guys thanks for the info!

The deal is basically sealed, they just need to see our S-class to make sure it is as described, so hopefully I'll have pics up of the new rover later this week

RR's have **** tons of problems, and for the money, I would get a used Cayenne Turbo. I was looking into a RR supercharged before I bought my M5 and realized that the Supercharger on the truck doesn't really do anything. But I hope you have a great time with the car!

Thanks for all the advice guys, however I kinda feel that this is one of those decisions that I've already decided on before I posted this thread lol, I guess I really wasn't looking for advice. Clearly there is a fair share of RR's that are consistently in the shop. However, I still desperately want one lol

Got a RR supercharged with 29,XXX on the clock, I've had no problems with it thus far. That price in Southern Cali would be a decent price but I don't know how the market is there in Boston. Regardless, it seems to be low mileage and if you like it ...paying the price you think its worth is the only thing that matters.

That's odd. I live in houston, Tx with summer heat up to 110 with 90% humidity and the RRS started up just fine.

i had an RR HSE for about a month... got rid of it so quick... hated it

LOVED RR's before i owned one - always thought it was such a class car and would always look at them driving - now i see em and could care less, know what it was like and would never go back

Porsche SUV has a couple times in the past as a loaner - a turbo cayenne would be the way i would go
