Range Rover Supercharged?
Our Range Rover was in for repairs about 20 times in the time we had it. The O2 sensors went bad about 15 times throwing a check engine light each time. The radio took a dump about 3 times. And then it burned down to the ground while my mom was driving it.
Worst part: Land Rover wouldnt warranty it because they couldnt confirm it was still under 50k miles. (the computer burned down in the fire before the fire department next door could put out the fire; car had 45k miles)
good luck

RR's do have a bad history as far as reliability goes - but those were the models before the 2003-200X series currently in production (which were actually designed/engineered by BMW, before the Land Rover unit was sold into Ford) so they are night and day different from the legacy Rovers. One of my best friend's also has a 2006 full-size and has had zero problems. As long as you are under warranty and live within a reasonable distance from a dealer (just in case) - I say go for it. Gas mileage on the supercharged is the only problem I would bring up .. it's much worse than the regular HSE full-size Rover.
and then we would get an Enterprise Rent a Car for a loaner. After I complained, we got the base model Discovery or whatever its called. It was worse than a Kia Sorrento. This was at the Frisco dealership.
The Dallas dealer had a 3-4 week backlog and wouldnt accept the car for repairs unless we scheduled a month ahead.

Land Rover marque ranked last on the US J.D. Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability Survey for 2005 (published 8 July 2005) (Kia second last). This is the fourth year that it has been in the last or second to last place in the survey. This study was based on responses from more than 55,000 US based original owners of 2000 model year cars and light trucks at three years of ownership. [5] In 2004, it narrowly dethroned Kia, as the least reliable nameplate, but swapped places in 2005. (Kia last, Land Rover 2nd last).
Tied for last (with Hummer and Porsche) in the 2006 Consumer Reports (US) car reliability survey. It was only one of 6 makes that did not have a model whose reliability was "Good" or above (joined by Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and Jaguar); its highest-rating car was the LR3, which got a rating of "Poor". In addition, 56 percent of people who owned a 2003 Range Rover reported problems, as did 61 percent of 2002 Freelander owners--both the highest among all cars for that model year.
Ranked second-to-last in the 2007 Consumer Reports (US) car reliability survey. (Mercedes-Benz took the bottom place.) In the same survey, the LR3/Discovery with a V8 engine was ranked the second least reliable SUV in the midsized category. (The 2006 model year M-class of Mercedes-Benz took the last place in that category.)
Joint 16th-from-the-bottom in 144 car 2002 J.D. Power's What Car? (UK) magazine customer satisfaction survey.
Land Rover had joint highest average cost in warranty claims for cars up to 10 years old in 2002 UK Warranty Direct index

- It also was ranked as one of the 3 least reliable over the last 10 years in 2007.[14]

Not when mine was out. In 2005, heated steering wheel was part of the "heated" package. I think they made that standard starting in 2006.
For the record, I've had my 2005 Range Rover for 3 years now and other than a few minor issues, it's been super reliable. A true work horse.
You'll love the Range Rover Supercharged.

No problems with Land Rover over in Indiana. At least not new ones. Wouldn't touch one that was pre-2005. I've had mine for two years and had a sport before that. Not only do I not have problems btu I don't see my customers for problems either. Suppose if you talk to enough people you'll something bad about every kind of car. I think the RR S/C is a fantastic vehicle, that looks good and fun to drive. Can't wait to get a '09 this year!
One more thing... drive around in any affluent area.
It's nothing but businessmen and soccermoms in their RR's. If the cars were that terrible across the board I guarantee you these people wouldn't have them.

Ugh, I'm so mad right now...
Dad brought the S-class to have them look at it. They told us they'd give us 47k for it, but when they looked at it offered 45. Not to mention the Galves pricing on his car says his car is worth about 50 and the Rover is worth closer to 60. My dad said his car, plus 13k, but they wouldn't budge and so the deal didn't go through... Ugh, kinda upset I REALLY wanted for him to have this truck
but on the other hand with the reliability issues, maybe its a good thing it didn't go through

I made the mistake of buying the RR sport and not the supercharged version for my wife. We bought the RR in April 07 and now it only has 2.5K miles. It has already been to the dealership twice for service. My wife has taken over my MB E55 because the RR Sport is so slow.
Sorry to hear it, the supercharge has some good grunt to it.
Anyway, to keep you all updated. My dad and I went to another dealer today and they have a 2006 Buckingham Blue SC RR and test drove it. He liked it and we should have an answer by tommorow if the deal will go thru
