The Maser has been around now for some time. Remember your on a Panam thread so I am assuming you've made a choice and looking for comfort on the Panam. You can't go wrong if performance is your preference. Are you considering a Rapide. Not an everyday driver. It is common to see Porsches as everyday drivers. You rarely see that of an aston martin for good reason. Although the looks make up for the somewhat less performance. I recommend any German product over an aston for pratical use. It is simply a long wheelbase DB9. Adding two more doors do not make the DB9 a "daily driver".

I know where there is a beautiful QP for sale in the SF area for $39K Its perfect. Thought to pick it up. Thats less than a 3 series! Again.... perfect. You could by that and a very nice 997 cab [for those times when you don't need the four doors] for less than a Panam Turbo. And someone else has already eaten the depreciation.

Dont forget a decent exhaust on the QP will make it sound VERY exotic. You wont be going as fast , but you sure will sound like it!

Now were talking! And if my math is correct, you also get two 1st class tickets to anywhere. We're still less than the Turbo Panam!

With this I have to disagree. QP is an Italian car, they are known for their beauty not their reliability, which is expensive...

I for one would be happy with a QP sound and $70K in my pocket.

I'm afraid your still a bit in the past. The new Masers and Ferraris are very dependable. Heck, even Lambos are Audis! But I do agree they are not "German reliable". For $39K....
Live dangerously!

The QP interior has a lot to be desired IMHO. The Panamera interior is cutting edge.

Where ? I would appreciate it if you can PM me. As for the OP, why not wait till the Aston Martin is out at the dealerships and then make a final decision.

The QP is arguably the best looking sedan on the road. Great lines from any angle. It doesn't have 200 buttons like the Panamera, but do you really need all those buttons. Reliability is a non issue with the automatics. The winner for me.

Have had a 2007 QP Sport GT and currently have a P4S on order; I offer my observations on the QP (based on the 2007 model of course....):

Negatives:

- GPS/info center sucks - it's at least 10 years behind current technology
- As previously mentioned the heat seating system is rediculous
- Stereo system is nothing to right home about......
- not fast

Positives:

- It's a Maserati w/ Ferrari engine!
- Styling is drop dead sexy!
- Exhaust note is intoxicating - I had a Tubi on mine
- Interior is all Italian - can't beat that Italian feel and style

I know the Panamera is a very polarizing design but seems like a better option for the $? Panamera 4S loaded up about the same as a QP GTS so I pick the P4S...... To each their own.
