The facts are clear. A Maserati is a four door Ferrari with a nice sounding engine. Nice car to drive around the neighborhood and be in the Ferrari club. The Panamera is not a Ferrari, it is a Porsche. It is a car engineered to be a sports car with four doors.

The Panamera is more technologically advanced, from suspension, to DFI, to AWD, to in car entertainment, and it is proven with out a doubt on the time sheets.

For the Maserati fans you can take heart that I am biased.

I am the OP and have made the decision to go with the Panamera S. I got a great deal with a very fair trade in allowance on my QP so I am going to make the move. My case has a small caveat. I am 6'3" and I hit my head on the headliner protrusions for the sunroof. It has bothered me since I got the car.
I know, I know, I should have noticed that when I sat in it prior to purchase.
You know how it goes with a new car. Needless to say, I have checked and checked the headroom in the Panam. Actually, I can lower the seats to where they are too low! The driving experience is extremely luxurious. I also got Burmeister, ventilated seats, and some other goodies! I will post pics when she arrives.

The deal is done. I am now in the Panamera. I am blown away! The driving feel is indeed that of a sports car rather than a sedan feel of the QP (not that that's bad, just different). It is truly a drivers' car. The driving experience is, IMO, unparalleled. This involves not only the driving itself but the entire behind the wheel experience. The technology and refinement in the ****pit is exemplary. I got the Burmeister, which is out of this world. I am very happy with my move.

^^^ no regrets with the P4S here. Absolutely awesome car! Saw your other thread; if you need to transport kids the 2-doors cars you mention aren't really a good comparison. Had a QP Sport GT and while it is/was an AWESOME car the Panny is leaps and bounds more car than the QP (my opinion of course). The QP is 10 years behind technologically compared to the Porsche. Easy decision as far as I'm concerned. Good luck.
