turbo squeaking brakes
my new turbo's brakes squeak loudly when I come to a stop. dealer says there is nothing to be done but for the breaks to wear in. this is my first porsche -- can anyone else anecdotally verify that time and wear might fix this?
are they ceramic? How many miles? How loud is the squeaking? Do they always squeak? What speed?
Likely it will go away if you drive it normally. With hard use any brake system can make some noise. You can always make the dealer inspect it.

When properly bedded in, the brakes should not make any noise. The Porsche literature notes that a break in (bed in) period is required (as it is with all brake systems to varying degrees). No mileage information is noted, but assuming new/low mileage.

I know what he's thinking... I wish I had that guy's problem--he's in a brand new Panamera!!!! The heck with the squeaking brakes!

Squealing brakes are usually the result of glaze developing on the pads. There are two ways to correct this, one is to lay on the brakes hard a couple times from a good head of speed. The other is to rub the discs inner and outer surfaces with an abrasive to roughen them, this will break the glaze...or pull the pads and roughen them. I've used this technique on my C2S and my 69 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce with good success.
Quite the contrary
If your brakes have glaze, they are not as efficient as they can be.
