New Panamera Turbo Owner

Hey Guys,

After being in the Ferrari world for my past 2 cars, I am back in in a Porsche. I took delivery of a brand spanking new 2010 Panamera turbo over the weekend. Color is dark metallic blue with the cognac natural leather interior. I love the looks, especially the plush interior. The car is a blast to drive. Nicely loaded with the sport chrono package, sport exhaust and a bunch of other nice options.

I think I got a great deal. 21K off sticker for a brand new 2010. Will post pictures very soon.

This Forum was very helpful in my purchase. I was trying to decide between a Maserati Grand Turismo and the Panny Turbo. Reading the various threads and seeing the enthusiasm you all have for your Panameras made the decision easy! So thanks to you all.

Big congrats. If I will just have one car for all purposes, it will be a Panamera turbo. It is too comfortable.

Need to see some pics.

Congrats on the purchase! You will enjoy it!

BTW, I went to school in Ithaca and can imagine given the weather conditions in upstate NY (almost a 5 months of wintery slush on the roads) , you purchased a panny there, wht will you drive in the winter?

Thanks guys. Currently traveling on business, will take and post pictures by the weekend. Will definitely take folks up on their offer for upgrades etc. As soon as I become a bit more familiar with the car and know what I want.

The sticker was 144k and change. Bought it from Jack Daniels Porsche in New Jersey. I know the GM there well so if anyone is in the market for buying one in the tri state area, give me a shout and I'll try to hook you up fro similar discounts.

As far as winter driving goes, I intend to put on snow tires and drive the car all winter...I did the same with my Ferrari 612 Scag last year and it was fine. If anything, the Panny should be a whole lot better in the snow with all wheels drive!

Thanks again for the warm welcome, guys,

Ttpower

I'd love to read a comparison of the Panny and the 612 when you have time.

Sure thing. I'll try and post a review in the next few days once I drive the Panny a bit more. Because of travel this week, I have only driven it a few miles so dont have a good feel for it quite yet. I also did the Ferrari California in between the 612 and the Panny. That car is the most fun to drive of the 3 by far but also the least practical if you need full fledged rear seats.

That is great! I cant imagine there are many guys who would drive ANY Ferrari in the snow, much less a 612. Good for you.

Nice history of cars. Any reason you chose the 612 over the 599? I ask also because the 612 depreciation seems to be horrible (not than any non limited production ferrari is great) but was just wondering this as I have never spoken to anyone who owned a 612. I love the California even though some dont. I cant see taking and AMG benz over the California even the SLS. Thanks and best of luck with new car.
